Engineering & Technology Faculty Emeriti Freshman Scholarship - $100
One scholarship of $100 will be awarded to a student in EACH major field: Construction and Facilities Management, Engineering Technology and Engineering.
Applicants requirements:
- Incoming admitted Freshman with a declared major in Construction and Facilities, Engineering, or Engineering Technology
- Be in the upper 50% of your graduating class
- Use this scholarship at WIU
- Demonstrate leadership and service in your high school
Submission requirements:
- Submit two letters of recommendation-one must be from your high school teacher who represents the major field of study
- Attach a statement of financial need
- Application deadline: March 15
Engineering & Technology Faculty Emeriti Transfer Student Scholarship - $100
One scholarship of $100 will be awarded to a student in EACH major field: Construction and Facilities Management, Engineering Technology and Engineering.
Applicants requirements:
- Incoming admitted Transfer with a declared major in Construction and Facilities Management, Engineering Technology, or Engineering
- 3.0 GPA in your chosen field of study at your two-year institution class
- Use this scholarship at WIU
- Demonstrate leadership and service in your two-year institution
Submission requirements:
- Submit two letters of recommendation-one must be from a two-year institution instructor
- Attach a statement of financial need
- Application deadline: March 15.
The Robert "Bob" Erekson Scholarship - $500
This scholarship is open to all junior and senior majors in Construction and Facilities Management.
Applicants requirements:
- 60 Semester Hours at WIU
- 20 Semester Hours in CSTM courses at WIU
- 3.0 overall GPA at Â鶹´«Ã½ÄÚÄ»and 3.0 GPA in major
- One remaining full-time semester at WIU
- Preference will be given to married students
Submission requirements:
- Attach a statement of financial need
- Application deadline: March 15.
Jarrell and Sylvia Hofer Scholarship - $1000/academic year
This scholarship will be awarded annually to an outstanding junior and senior in the Engineering Technology Department. This scholarship is renewable provided the recipient earns a 3.0 GPA the year they receive the initial award. Financial need will be a consideration for selection.
Applicants requirements:
- Junior or senior standing
- 60 Semester Hours at WIU
- 3.0 overall GPA at Â鶹´«Ã½ÄÚÄ»and 3.0 GPA in major

- Application deadline: March 15.
The Neil E. Hoover Memorial Scholarship - $350
This scholarship is open to all junior and senior majors in Engineering Technology. Preference will be given to applications from Schuyler, Brown, or Pike Counties. However, if there are no qualified applications from those counties, the scholarship will be awarded to someone outside of the tri-county area.
Applicants requirements:
- Junior or senior standing
- 60 Semester Hours at WIU
- 20 Semester Hours in Engineering Dept courses at WIU
- 3.0 overall GPA at Â鶹´«Ã½ÄÚÄ»and 3.0 GPA in major
- One remaining full-time semester at WIU
Submission requirements:
- Attach a statement of financial need
- Application deadline: March 15.
James A. Leopardo Scholarship - $2000 (50% in Fall, 50% in Spring)
This scholarship is open to all junior construction management majors.
Applicants requirements:
- Construction Management Major
- Junior standing (60+ credit hours) at the end of the semester of application
- Minimum 3.0 major GPA and 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Completed at least 15 credit hours of Construction Management course work at WIU
- Completed at least 21 credit hours of overall coursework at WIU
- Demonstrated leadership and service

- Application deadline: March 15.
Norris A. Nelson Scholarship in Industrial Education and Technology - $100
Applicants requirements:
- Major of Engineering Technology
- Junior or senior standing
- 20 Semester Hours in Engineering Dept courses at WIU
- 3.0 GPA
- One remaining full-time semester at WIU
Submission requirements:
- Attach a statement of financial need
- Application deadline: March 15.
Dr. Wendell L. Swanson Engineering Technology Scholarship - $500
Applicants requirements:
- Undergraduate student majoring in the Engineering Technology department at Â鶹´«Ã½ÄÚÄ»for the duration of the scholarship period
- Junior, senior, or fifth year student, but not hold graduate status for the duration of the scholarship period
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.25 in the Engineering Technology department and an overall 3.25 GPA in the University
- Completed at least six semester hours of Engineering Technology courses in the department, twelve semester hours must have been completed at WIU, Macomb campus
- Use this scholarship at WIU
- Demonstrate leadership and service
Submission requirements:
- Submit three letters of recommendation-one of the letters of recommendation must come from an Engineering Technology department faculty member
- Attach a statement of financial need
- Application deadline: March 15.
Derek Bloomfield Engineering Scholarship - $1000
Applicants requirements:
- Must be enrolled in Engineering
- Must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credit hours
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Submission requirements:
- Submit two (2) letters of recommendation
- Attach a statement of financial need
- Application deadline: June 30
Shive-Hattery Engineering Scholarship - $2500
Applicants requirements:
- Junior or Senior standing in Engineering at Â鶹´«Ã½ÄÚÄ»Quad Cities
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrated civic, community, and college extra-curricular activities
