Mission

The Office of Equal Opportunity and Access is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable university environment. We aim to eliminate discrimination and ensure equal opportunities through advocacy and education. Our mission is to provide guidance, resources, and support to promote respect, fairness, and accessibility for all campus members.

Vision

Our vision is to foster a university where every individual is valued, respected, and empowered to achieve their full potential, setting a standard of excellence in diversity and inclusion.

What is Affirmative Action?

The goal of the University's Affirmative Action Program is to increase employment and educational opportunities for women, minorities and persons with disabilities. Strategies to achieve this goal include targeted recruitment designed to increase the diversity of the applicant pools for vacant positions, and professional development programs that provide training and experience to increase the participation and achievement of underrepresented groups.
