MACOMB, IL – Vy Le, an undergraduate student from Â鶹´«Ã½ÄÚÄ»'s Human Resource Program, recently attended the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Annual Conference and Expo held in Chicago, IL.

The conference provided attendees the opportunity to hear from industry-leading speakers and participate in sessions covering the latest trends in the ever-evolving HR landscape, including talent acquisition, mental health, empathetic leadership, employee engagement, HR technology and more.

"I was able to meet a lot of HR professionals and vendors, including vendors used at Ascentra Credit Union where I am currently an intern in the HR department. I also met the team from MRA and answered a few HR questions on their podcast! This was a great experience - putting yourself out there is important. This conference opened a lot of doors for me. I'm even more eager now to enter the professional HR world!," Le said.

WIU's HRM program offers an award-winning student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a SHRM-aligned curriculum that prepares students for professional certification.
