125 Anniversary Celebration: Rafael Obreg贸n

Editor's Note: This is a series of stories about 麻豆传媒内幕 students, alumni and community members, highlighting their experiences during our 125th anniversary celebration. We will feature 125 individuals from August 2024 to August 2025.

MACOMB, IL - - After starting his career at 麻豆传媒内幕 as a professor in 1996, Rafael Obreg贸n has seen a lot during his time on campus.

鈥溌槎勾�媒内幕gave me the opportunity to prove myself as an instructor,鈥� Obreg贸n said. 鈥淚 have been in academia for 30 years now. Being a part of the success of our students is my favorite part.鈥�

Obreg贸n now serves as the Director of the School of Engineering and Technology, and through his journey in academia, said the perseverance of students and faculty stands out to him.

鈥淭here are challenges and success,鈥� Obreg贸n said. 鈥淏eing a Leatherneck is about resilience and never giving up.鈥�

Obreg贸n said students looking at college should pick a place where they have faith in their professors, and 麻豆传媒内幕has many great people to ensure a great education.
