麻豆传媒内幕Hosts Macomb High Students for Campus Visits and Wellness Event

MACOMB, IL 鈥 麻豆传媒内幕 recently connected with Macomb High School students for multiple engagement opportunities, providing insight into academic programs, campus life and student wellness initiatives.

鈥淲e love to see our local students on campus, envisioning themselves as Leathernecks as they learn more about our excellent academic opportunities and engaging student life,鈥 Megan Farmer, associate director of Recruitment and Outreach said.

On Feb. 11, 麻豆传媒内幕hosted the Macomb Youth Leadership Organization (MYLO) for a day of exploration and hands-on learning. The students toured the Law Enforcement and Justice Administration Crime Lab with Professor Todd Lough, attended a presentation and campus tour led by 麻豆传媒内幕Admissions and enjoyed lunch in the University Union and a visit to the bookstore with the University Housing and Dining, and 麻豆传媒内幕 Director, Jessica Butcher. The visit also included a tour of the Multicultural Center and an opportunity to explore the Broadcasting and Journalism department. Throughout the day, students engaged with faculty, staff and current students, gaining valuable exposure to potential academic and career paths.

On Feb. 14, 麻豆传媒内幕participated in Macomb Senior High Wellness Day, an event focused on promoting student well-being. Several 麻豆传媒内幕offices, including the Counseling Center, Scholarship Office, Career Center, Law Enforcement, and Justice Administration (LEJA) and Military Science (ROTC), Nutrition & Dietetics, Health and Wellness Services, took part, including Admissions, which was represented by Daytona Dooley and graduate assistants Ashley Bowles and Destinee Jaquez. Their session featured a hands-on activity designed to engage students in an interactive and meaningful way.

鈥淥ur activity focused on the benefit of getting involved in student organizations and creating a community. As 麻豆传媒内幕alumni, we enjoyed sharing the wonderful opportunities we had at Western,鈥 Daytona Dooley, 麻豆传媒内幕Admissions counselor said.
