Cybersecurity Freshman or Transfer Scholarship
- $1,000 for a freshman or transfer student who demonstrates interest in Cybersecurity.
Freshman or Transfer Scholarship
- $1,000 for a freshman or transfer student who demonstrates interest in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems.
Women in Computing Scholarship
- $1,000 Scholarship for a female freshman or transfer student wishing to enroll in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems.
Criteria:
- Freshman: 23 on ACT or 1130 on SAT
- Transfer: overall college GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale and 23 on ACT or 1130 on SAT
Deadlines:
- April 1 for entrance in the following fall semester
- November 1 for entrance in the following spring semester

U.S. Veterans or Military Personnel Entrance Award
This $1,000 award is intended for United States Veterans or Military Personnel that will be a new incoming freshman, transfer, or graduate student.
Criteria:
- Minimum one year of active duty service is required, and in the case where the applicant was discharged from the Military, an honorable discharge is required.
- Incoming freshman, transfer student or new graduate student
- Declared Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems majors, or Computer Science graduate student

- April 1 for entrance in the following fall semester

International Graduate Student Scholarship
This scholarship provides tuition assistance to international graduate students who are enrolled in the Master of Computer Science program at Â鶹´«Ã½ÄÚÄ». Students are encouraged to apply for the scholarship in conjunction with their application to graduate school. Recipients of this scholarship will be awarded $500 to be applied toward their University account in the first semester they attend Western.
Criteria:
- Students scoring in the 90th percentile both in GPA and on the GRE will receive first priority. If there are more students in this category than awards, further selection will be made based upon the letter of application and the diversity of the applicant.
- If there are unused awards, the selection committee will lower the GPA/ GRE thresholds until a sufficient number of awardees are found.
- Should a student receiving an award not be able to attend Western for the first semester they have applied, they may choose to postpone their award for up to two semesters.
- Must be a newly admitted international student.
Deadlines:
- April 1 for the following fall semester; October 1 for following spring semester.
