Graduation Rates (2014 Cohort)

In compliance with the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act (Public Law 101-542) and as amended by the Higher Education Technical Amendments (Public Law 102-26), the following information represents WIU's disclosure of the Graduation Rates of all students and student athletes.

Graduation and Retention Rates

About 46.2 percent of full-time new freshmen and 70.8 percent of full-time new transfers who entered in the Fall of 2014 graduated from Â鶹´«Ã½ÄÚÄ»by the Summer of 2020. Fall-to-Spring freshman retention rate was 89.7 percent for the Fall 2019 - Spring 2020 period. The Fall-to-Fall freshman retention rate was 77.0 percent for Fall 2019 - 2020.

Fall 2014 New Student Athletes Statistics

Graduation rates of students recruited for participation in intercollegiate athletics are evaluated annually. The total graduation rate for student athletes who received athletically-related aid and matriculated in Fall 2014 and graduated by August 2020 was 67 percent. Sixty-three percent of men and 74 percent of women student athletes graduated. However, the small number of student athletes causes the graduation rate to fluctuate from year to year.

About 50.9 percent of full-time new freshmen and 68.0 percent of full-time new transfers who entered in the Fall of 2015 graduated from Â鶹´«Ã½ÄÚÄ»by the Summer of 2021. Fall-to-Spring freshman retention rate was 89.3 percent for the Fall 2020 - Spring 2021 period. The Fall-to-Fall freshman retention rate was 71.9 percent for Fall 2020 - 2021.

The total graduation rate for student athletes who received athletically-related aid and matriculated in Fall 2015 and graduated by August 2021 was 58 percent. Fifty percent of men and 71 percent of women student athletes graduated. However, the small number of student athletes causes the graduation rate to fluctuate from year to year.
